Comments

According to Frič, about the locality:
"Somewhere near Cheb, my former student (the author does not mention his name) was present at the prying open of a large stump in a clearing, and when the stump was finally torn out of its bed with the help of gunpowder, some stones also flew up into the air. When the dust and smoke had disappeared, the said gentleman found, among the fragments of freshwater limestone, a tooth of the rhinoceros Aceratherium and a fragment of the plate of a large land tortoise"
